If you go full pyro, I highly suggest 24 or 30 attunement and base stats for your weapons 15str 18dex will give all the best pyro options. Last edited by [MD]Fox ; 16 Jun, pm. Pyromancer is a starting Class in Dark Souls 3. A pyromancer from a remote region who manipulates flame. Also an adept close combat warrior who wields a hand axe. For optimization purposes, the pyromancer class is certainly the best class for fire and dark users, since these elements scale generally with both INT and FTH.
Note this class has very few luck to start. I will never understand why the pyromancer is just one point in dex. Do yourself a favor and get a longsword or nearly anything else as soon as possible. A pure Pyro can be very easy due to its many melee pyromancies. Int 40, Fth Their spells dont consume much FP as sorceries and miracles, so you could have a less than 35 Att. The rest at your discretion Pyro Knight, spellcaster, hybrids, etc. Pyromancy challenge: Never change from starter gear, never upgrade your stats which aren't crucial to pyromancy specifically.
Feels good to spank enemies. A good starting weapon for the pyromancer is the Astora Straight Sword. You'll only need to invest a single point in dex to use it, which you might as well invest in dex anyways for more weapon choices and more casting speed. I would like to rearrange my stats.
I'm al level 80, and looking for some advise to increase int and fth, but be capable of taking some hits.

This are my current stat: vig 20, att 20, end 12, vit 20, str 20, dex 20, int 25, fth 25, luck 7. I'm also wanting to use the carthus curved great sword, but guess need to put more str. The Pyromancer is after the Knight which is by far the best class for beginners the best class for beginners. A pyromancer is way stronger than a faith or intelligence caster, especially for the first half of the game. At the end you need 24 attunement, 40 faith and 40 intelligence. OFcourse you can also keep using the longsword if you like it.
If you want to use onyx blade or bastard sword you might need some more points in endurence though, cause greatswords require a lot of stamina.It has totally 30 pyromancies. Should I level up and which attributes should I level? I mostly put them towards Vitality and Endurance, but it doesn't seem to help much I'm around level 20 or so now. I've seen suggestions about putting it towards gear, though what I find usually isn't any better than what I have now.
I've upgraded my original axe a few times, although I think it's probably not a great weapon, but I haven't found anything with better damage yet. I'm always tempted when I get a lot of souls to spend them immediately on levelling up rather than risk losing them.
Am I making a mistake? How do I improve my chances in the game? Pyromancy is not affected by any stats, even Intelligence. Your Pyromancy Flame weapon is directly upgraded at trainers at a later point in the game. So, in the mean time you should be upgrading stats that improve your survivability.
Such as Vitality more hit points and Endurance more stamina, equip load, defensive stats. Even though you should never neglect Vitality, you should aim to cap Endurance at 40 points as soon as possible.
At 40 points any additional Endurance won't contribute to your Stamina green bar. You should allocate points on Strength and Dexterity in order to meet the minimal weapon requirements to wield them.
If embers are not limiting your efforts, consider choosing to upgrade your weapon instead of leveling up. Dexterity is the differance between casting 5 times in seconds, too casting a combustion per second. I think the speed cap for casting is either 40, or This will leave you a good base damage weapon that ypou can use humanity to do more damage with, knocks down shields pretty well, then get your great combustions, black flames, etc.With a game that requires so much patience, it can be beneficial to use a powerful build to make the rage less frequent.
Besides summoning phantoms for co-op, your main way of improving your damage is to get better weapons or spells. With that in mind, Hexes are still fantastic for players who want plenty of utility with their build.
Want to prevent a boss from doing any special attacks? Use Vow of Silence. Want to make an enemy instantly bleed? Using Dorhy's Gnawing.
It's a very versatile school of magic that veteran players should try.
Upgrade your faith and intelligence evenly, trying to hit at least 30 in each stat. It is worth the effort required, even if the build only starts to come together towards the end of a playthrough. Both are included in the same entry because there is quite a bit of overlap between the two.
Being hallow allows the player to utilize hallow gems for their weapons, scaling bleed stats based on luck. Bleed is a status effect players can inflict on enemies and some bosses, dealing a percentage of damage to their health bar and staggering the target. Rapid attacking weapons usually come with this effect intrinsically, so most bleed builds go for some dexterity to use these rapid attacking weapons.
Luck also scales the strength of bleed in this build, so grab as much of that and as many hallowed stacks as possible. When done properly, you can stagger most bosses in the game and rapidly defeat tanky enemies.
It's pretty good in PvP too. Clerics are characters that focus heavily on faith, casting lightning spells and healing cantrips to get the upper edge in any fight. They can still be formidable in PvE, however. Sunlight Spear and Lightning Stake can take care of anything close or at range respectively. Pure mage characters take a long time to come "online"—capable of finishing the game comfortably. When they do, mages can do nearly anything the player would want. You can either focus on a pure mage build, allocating most of your levels in intelligence and attunement, or you can run a hybrid build with strength of dexterity.
For the former, look out for the Crystal Sage's Staff and any Crystal spells. If you are playing a hybrid build, check out the Moonlight Greatsword. This sword does damage mainly based on your intelligence and can shoot projectiles with its heavy attack.
If casting spells or miracles don't sound appealing, try out a pure strength build. The only thing that could truly be called a weakness on this build is the lower Endurance, but it makes up for this with crazy aggression and the ability to threaten their opponents at any range. Yeah I have a build very close to that. Golden Falcon Shield instead of the Kite Shield for superior parrying frames, similar stability, loss of physical damage reduction. Could it be possible to make it more detailed like step by step guide for stats and early weapon choices, etc…? Pyromancer were always the most fun casters because of their diversity when it comes to spells imo.
And it looks the most badass. At higher levels, the story is largely the same. Within its own weapon class, it is extremely outperformed by every sharp infusion, with half-the-cost monostat investment. Against a very strength popular meta in the higher levels, damage is completely eaten by the large increase of fire defense that comes from strength investment. At best, one needs to have black pyromancies in play to diversify damage type, Black Flame playing reasonably into quick pseudo combos give its catalyst ability.
The ideal matchup being against a low strength mage or cleric.
